Text: I Peter 1:13
Sometimes things just don’t make sense. When we are at our spiritual bottom of the barrel and we are lacking hope, peace, love for others and a will to continue, we can still have a hope. Because our hope is in Jesus Christ!
We must prepare our minds for action and be sober minded. Sober minded doesn’t necessarily mean sober, as in not being drunk, but to be rational or sensible. This means not acting on our knee jerk reaction, or worse; our emotional reaction to a situation. As women we let our emotions run the show at times. I don’t want you to think that emotions are bad, God gave us our emotions. Even Jesus has emotions! Look back to Matthew 21 when Jesus got angry enough to overthrow the money changers temple! Was Jesus guilty of sin? Absolutely not. It IS possible to be angry and not sin.
My point here is this sisters, let’s not let our emotions get the best of us. Let’s look to Christ and remember the hope we have in His name when it seems like all is a lost cause. We have a wonderful grace that we base our hope on that will never fail us!
