The Lord gives me strength
Text: Isaiah 40:30-31
A couple weeks ago I participated in a 5K Mud Run. I thought,”Three miles, no problem!”
When I was about two-thirds through the race I didn’t think I could go any more. I felt like I was going to cry, throw up and pass out. I began to pray and recite scriptures in my head to get me to the finish line. What a relief it was to make it to the finish line, drink water and rest. Immediately I started to feel better.
Waiting on the LORD is not always an easy task. I asked the LORD to help me when I became weary during the race. I wanted Him to come down and carry me to the finish line but of course that didn’t happen. He did however, give me the strength to make it to the end. God isn’t always going to pick us up and lift us out of our storms, problems or trials, but those who trust in the Lord and wait on Him, will receive strength.
Find rest today my weary friend knowing that the Lord gives you strength!
