Fear Not, I am coming again soon
Text: John 14:1-4, I Thessalonians 4:16-18
As a child, I used to pray that the Lord wouldn’t return until I was able to grow up, get married and have kids. I felt it would be unfair for Him to not allow me to experience those things. Now as an adult who has experienced all these things, I think back and realize how immature of a request this was. I am so grateful to have my husband and my children but thinking that they could somehow fulfill something that God could not seems rather selfish of me. I think of the heartache and struggles I have gone through to be where I am now and I realize why for years my dad has quoted, “Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!” He is returning and we know that His return is soon. But if a thousand years is as one day to God then its only been like two days since Christ died, right? Oh MY!?! God is long-suffering to us and not wiling that any should parish. I believe He wants the whole world to hear of His loving sons death and resurrection so that all have a chance to come to repentance. As I work tirelessly in my ministries, most times without recognition, I beg the Lord to come quickly. I soon am reminded by Him that He has yet to accomplish His will. He will come! His is coming soon! We need not fear that we will be forgotten! We must not fear telling others of His coming! We must be about the Father’s business. He has promised to return and He is not slack concerning His promises! Get busy about His work and know that He is coming for you, His child!
