How to respond to unsafe people in your life!
This is the last day of our study and I want to cover how to respond again, to unsafe people. It’s obvious in the book of Proverbs that believers need to RUN SWIFTLY away from fools. We should avoid them at all costs, it says. We can be friends from a distance, but not have close fellowship with them. It may be awkward at first, especially if we are constantly saying no to coffee dates, play dates, lunches out etc. Eventually there may even have to be a conversation about why the relationship has changed.
You don’t have to explain yourself, depending on the “type” of person, they may not show much concern for the change in relationship. And honestly, you shouldn’t have to feel bad about it. You need to protect yourself, your family and more importantly your relationship with Christ and the witness that HE has put inside you!
Pray this verse repeatedly! Psalm 1:1-3. “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
Read through this study repeatedly so that you can strive to be a safe, beneficial person in your circle of friends, your family, your church and let your light shine for your community!
