Are you losing sight of your dreams? Are you looking through the grey smoke of what used to seem like a great future and now all you see is the billowing cloud of darkness from the wreckage of your plans? Oh friend you aren’t alone in this. That dream on the other side is still there. God still intends to show you his path to that dream. The struggle is what to do with the detours, the curve balls thrown into life that derail our process and the wait that seems to drag on with no end in sight.
What do we do while the wreckage is piled high and the smoke is still clearing? May I suggest that we rescue those trapped in it? In each season of our lives, God will put people in our path that are stuck in the mess of life and need to be pulled out. So instead of pushing through the wreckage, or turning the other direction when you come upon that detour, stop and pull off that piece of debris and release the person trapped beneath. Show them the love of the Father. Take them to safety, clean them up and go back out for someone else. Don’t lay in wait for the wreck to clear, take charge!
God’s hope for our lives in not to sit quietly on the sidelines. In fact, I have never read a Bible story about a man or woman sitting on the sidelines and refusing to act. Do you remember the story of Moses when God called him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt? Moses argued with God about how He couldn’t be calling the right person. “You must mean my brother Aaron. I am not eloquent of speech.” I think that is the closest thing to a sideliner God ever used. But God got him off the sidelines and said, “You are going. I chose you!” What if Moses had chosen not to peruse God’s hopes and dreams for his life? What if he had chosen to sit out and watch as God raised up another man to lead HIS people out of slavery? How would Moses have felt watching that? The reality is this…God doesn’t NEED you…He wants you. He desires for you to allow him to work his will in your life. He wants to bless you for obediently following him, but he doesn’t need you. Do you know why? Because He is GOD! He can easily raise up someone else to do this job. But we NEED Him. If we want the stories of our lives to be of the greatness of God, we have to allow Him to use us!
You see that? We have to allow. He does not need us to do it. Its that simple! Now the work wont be simple, so don’t get me wrong there. The work will be harder than anything you have ever done in your life! TRUST ME! But the seeds you will sew, the change you will see, the Blessings that God will pour out on you, will amaze you! And all the struggle and the hardest parts of your life, will be worth it! So go dream big sisters! Get out there and WORK through the wreckage!
